Goals & Course Objectives
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- define informed decision making in your own words in the context of peanut ball use in labor and birth.
- list the 3 Ps of proper peanut ball sizing and explain in your own words the steps of determining how to safely size a peanut ball with a client in labor.
- assess how inappropriate sizing impacts birth physiology and patient comfort.
- choose effective peanut ball positions to offer clients in early, active, and pushing stages that are appropriate for suspected fetal station and aligned with their goals.
